She is the owner of Dearbone Counseling Center, INC. She has 30 plus years working in Psychiatric Hospitals, State Mental Health Facilities, Department of Corrections, and Private Practice.

This offering is a three-hour seminar. Attendees will learn the ACA Ethical Standards of Care for the counseling relationship, confidentiality, professional responsibility, and relationships with other professionals. Also, attendees will learn ethical standards for evaluation, assessment, interpretation, supervision, training, teaching, and research/publication as well as distance counseling, technology, social media, and how to resolve ethical issues.

Time: 9:00 am – 10:30 am

  1. The attendee will be able to identify ethical aspects of the counseling relationship.
  2. The attendee will learn confidentiality, professional responsibility, and relationships with other professionals.
  3. The attendee will be able to identify appropriate educational, mental health, psychological and career assessments.
  4. The attendee will be able to identify ethical aspects of supervision, training, and teaching.
  5. The Attendee will be able to identify ethical issues with research and publication.                                                                   
  6. The attendee will be able to identify ethical issues with distance counseling, technology, and social media.
  7. The attendee will learn to resolve ethical issues.

In the event of a cancellation, fully registered participants will be scheduled into the next regularly occurring seminar offered by the Sand Dollar Learning Centers.
Certificates will be released upon successful completion of the class quiz and course evaluation.
