Tiffany Harbour holds a bachelors degree in Health Services Administration.  Her experience as an executive director and legal advocate offered her the knowledge and experience to understand complicated regulation.  Tiffany worked with the Medicaid billing system while employed at a mental health practice.  She will help others learn how to navigate OMB and Missouri Medicaid. Tiffany is VP of Development at Sand Dollar Systems.

This offering surveys the definition concepts and regulatory issues related to Medicaid as it applies to social and mental health services within the State of Missouri. Attendees will examine the relationships of the various mental health professions to diagnosis, billing codes, and operational and documentary requirements. A sample Progress Note will be provided for the review of attendees. This offering is a survey and is not intended to fully prepare a practitioner for full participation in Missouri Medicaid.

1. The attendee will list four (4) requirements for becoming a qualified Missouri HealthNet provider.
2. The attendee will list five (5) professions that may participate as behavior health providers in the Missouri Medicaid program.
3. The attendee will list approved activities that may be conducted by each of the five (5) behavioral health provider in the Missouri HealthNet program.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Attendees will discuss the “standard of integrity” needed to participate in the Mo HealthNet program.
2. Attendees will define “Waste Fraud and Abuse’ as applied to service provision by participants in the Missouri HealthNet program.
3. The attendee will define a “client record”” progress note” and the requirements for document retention necessary for participation in the Missouri HealthNet program.
